I think Te Whiti Tohu were inspirational because they stood up for what they belived in.They belived in non-violence and did not fight;they did not provoke them ether.I think the leaders were advocated to non-violence because they knew they were in the right.They were there first,they had all rights to the land.My opinion on the events of Parihaka is that the Europeans did the wrong thing and the Maori did the right thing But if the Maori were charging ridiculous amounts of money for land then they weren't all in the right.
